About TLM
Trento Local Minimum is a monthly machine learning journal club for researchers, engineers, and practitioners based in Trento.
The name is related to the optimization landscape we all navigate: sometimes you can get stuck, and that’s okay, as long as you’re in good company.
How it works
Each session is split into two parts:
Invited Talk (~1h)
A guest speaker presents a recent or landmark topic in ML. We aim for technical rigor: proofs, architecture details, experimental results, and open questions.
Hands-on Lab (~1h)
A coding game where participants experiment.
Sessions happen roughly once a month.
